A handful of places that have stayed with us — the villas, hideaways and seaside rooms we find ourselves returning to in our minds. LE BON VIVANT was born from these travels: a retreat shaped by the beauty we've found around the world.

An Airbnb find in the Mallorcan countryside that reminded us why we travel in the first place. Stone walls, slow mornings, and the kind of quiet that makes you forget what day it is. Proof that the best stays aren't always hotels at all.

02 — Hotel Alaia | Pichilemu, Chile

Perched on Chile's wild Pacific surf coast, Alaia is all raw timber, ocean air, and salt-tangled hair. It taught us that luxury can be barefoot — that a beautiful stay is as much about the landscape outside as the design inside.

03 — Almyra Seaside | Limenas Chersonisou, Crete

Whitewashed, sun-drenched, and steps from the Aegean. Almyra is the kind of place where lunch stretches into late afternoon and nobody minds. We think about those blues often.

04 — Our Habitas | Tulum, Mexico

Habitas gets the balance right: design-forward but never precious, tucked into the jungle with the Caribbean humming beyond. It's a masterclass in creating atmosphere — something we carried home with us to the County.

05 — Hotel Indigo | Cayman Islands

Bright, breezy, and unmistakably Caribbean. Our stay in the Caymans was a reminder that colour and playfulness belong in great design — and that a sea view forgives almost anything.

Yes, we're biased — but this list is the reason LE BON VIVANT exists. The Edition proves a city hotel can feel like a sanctuary. Moody, polished, and impossibly comfortable — the standard we hold ourselves to when we think about what a bed, a bath, and lighting should feel like.

08 — Círculo Mexicano | Mexico City, Mexico

Minimalist rooms wrapped around a courtyard in the heart of Mexico City's historic centre. Círculo Mexicano showed us how restraint — simple materials, considered details — can feel more indulgent than excess.

Grand, gracious, and unapologetically Southern. Hotel Bennett is old-world hospitality done right, and a reminder that warmth is the one amenity no design can fake.
